Boston, Part I: The Cradle of the Revolution

Where to Stay

There is absolutely no shortage of hotels in the Boston area. Visitors have a wide array of options: stay inside the city at a lavish hotel, stay inside the city at a more affordable hotel, or stay outside the city at an affordable hotel. We will explore each.

For those who want to stay in Boston in style, the city gives you many choices. One such is the Boston Harbor Hotel, located on the waterfront, which offers 230 rooms of varying degrees of luxury. Another great option is the Four Seasons, as is the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers.

More affordable options within the city limits include the Holiday Inn Express and the Doubletree.

For those who would prefer to be near the city without being in it (after all, Boston is a tough city in which to drive), and are looking to save even more money, a few options include the Red Roof Inn in Framingham, the Boston Marriott – Newton, located on the banks of the Charles River, and the Nantasket Beach Resort in Hull.

Next time, we will begin to explore some of the individual sights in Boston.
